Hard melt 600: EN 14700: E Fe 8
DIN 8555: E6UM60GP/EN14700:EFe6
Hardmelt 600 is our basic coated electrode for welding wear-resistant surfaces of steel, cast steel and high Mn steel, subject to abrasion, metal-to-metal abrasion, shock and compressive stresses. The deposited weld metal has a martensitic structure and a hardness of approx. 600 HB. After welding, the weld metal can only be processed by grinding.
Head colour:
- Red
Applications:
Hardmelt 600 is particularly suitable for strong abrasion and friction, in combination with heavy shocks. Especially suitable for rolling, sliding and metal-to-metal wear.
Applications are universal, but especially for welding parts of agricultural machines, earthmoving and crushing machines, running wheels, cogwheels and sprockets, wire guides, gripper edges, blades of cold shears, screw conveyors, dredging bucket edges, cutting tools, and for the production or repair of high-speed steel tools.
